The initiative will be\u00a0funded by a $540,000 grant donated to the Foundation by\u00a0MasterCard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Through this collaboration, MasterCard Worldwide and\u00a0Grameen Foundation will provide banana and cocoa\u00a0farmers with access to vital agricultural, weather and\u00a0pricing information via mobile phones and other tools \u2013 information that will reduce the\u00a0risks they face today and, ultimately, improve production and the farmers\u2019 quality of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The services will also help farming cooperatives improve their operations and serve\u00a0farmers more effectively and efficiently.
